Our Ka Eke Poutama programme named 'Community-Based Programme of the Year 2018'

The 2018 ACE Aotearoa Annual Award for Community Based Programme of the Year Tangata Whenua has been awarded to Ka Eke Poutama.

Ka Eke Poutama is a rangatahi leadership programme to help develop the governance skills of our next generation of leaders.

The fifteen week programme teaches rangatahi the core skills of great governance and social enterprise - practical skills that they can apply once they get onto a board. Participants are connected to real life governance board opportunities.”

The alumni are shaping the country’s future, from being part of delegations to international events, and running social initiatives in their community, to taking on senior management roles and setting up their own social enterprises.
