GROWING THE TRIBE

Bringing on new facilitators and programme managers

We are recruiting several Facilitators and Programme Managers to work with our Māori Trust clients and Ka Eke Poutama participants.

Te Whare Hukahuka is a Māori social enterprise with the vision
to improve the lives of 10 million indigenous people.

We do this in two ways:

We enable our Māori organisations to be world class

&

We enable the next generation of Māori leaders

Background context to Te Whare Hukahuka and why we need to build our team, a summary of the facilitator and programme manager roles, why it is attractive, and what to do if you are interested.

  • + Mana motuhake (Self determination)

+ Mahi tahi (Collaboration & partnerships)

    + Anga whakamua (Succession planning)

  • By enabling our Māori organisation leaders
    + Strengthening their organisations
+ Connecting them with the right resources,
they can then Increase their impact, and this will lead to thriving Māori communities (with greater social and cultural outcomes, meaningful employment, and greater community pride), which will then set a new norm status quo for being Māori (self-determining and leading our own futures).

  • Our name ‘Te Whare Hukahuka’ reflects ‘the domain of innovation’. We are consciously innovating in a number of ways, including in our business model, in our internal structure and processes, with our networks, in our products and services, with channel partners, in our brand and with our customer experience.

Our plan for 2025 includes working closely with 20+ Māori organisation boards to strengthen their governance, and running 3x Ka Eke Poutama programmes with cohorts of 40-50 emerging Māori leaders.

To deliver all this work, we need to grow our tribe - we are looking to recruit roughly five governance facilitators and three programme managers

We have reached out to 15 people from our network who we think would make the best fit for these roles.

We are planning to undertake recruitment in March, and induction/training in April and May, so that by June 2025 we are all feeling ready to coordinate and facilitate the governance programmes.

If this sounds interesting to you, below are 6 videos that go into more detail about our programmes and what the roles entails.

    • Hourly rate for other tasks.

  • At this time we are focusing on working with facilitators part time.
